그때 도깨비들이 나타나 “금 나와라, 뚝딱! 은 나와라, 뚝딱!” 하며 방망이로 금과 은을 만들어냅니다.
무심코 개암 하나를 깨물자 “쩍!” 하고 큰 소리가 나고, 도깨비들은 놀라 도망칩니다. 이때 나무꾼은 도깨비 방망이를 손에 넣어 부자가 됩니다

Hello, my name is Nayeon Kang.
From an early age, | was exposed to a wide range of
literary genres, 900 | often read translated versions of
books originally written in foreign languages. However, |
frequently felt disappointed when the elegant and
delicate expressions of the original text were rendered
into awkward and rigid language in translation. Believing
that understanding and fully empathizing with the
author’s intent required reading in the original language,
| consistently put effort into studying foreign languages.
Nevertheless, | realize the limitations of learning
numerous unfamiliar languages and their cultural
contexts only to fully appreciate a single book—or even
to understand a single joke within one sentence.
Based on that experience, | aspire to become someone
who conveys the nuances and cultural backgrounds of
the original text as naturally as possible to readers. |
hope to help Korean literature resonate beyond mere
linguistic translation by delivering its emotional depth in
a way that allows readers to connect with the work truly.
